Mazda 6 Double Din Dash Kit Differences in Models TBXE-T004 & TBXE-T006 (Automatic Climate Control)

Kanatechs Stereo Install Kit for 2003-2005 Mazda6 Sedan | Wagon [ (2) Double Din ]

Changes from Factory Equipment:
  1. Only works for models listed 2003-2005 Mazda6

  2. Installation of this kit disables the center console clock and audio information.

  3. When first starting the car the information panel in the center console and the LED on the heater control unit may flicker and/or be delayed.

  4. The AMB (ambient temperature indicator) toggle switch becomes disabled and the temperature is continuously displayed on the left of information panel in the center console.

  5. The air circulation switch and rear defroster function as normal, but their status has nothing to do with the state of the light. The illumination is also lower than before.

Changes from Factory Equipment:
  1. Only works for models listed 2006-2008 Mazda6

  2. Audio functions on the information display in the center console become disabled. (Clock Works)

  3. There are new, additional displays on the information panel in the center console when using this kit.

  4. The air conditioning control buttons and the hazard switch are continuously illuminated whenever the ACC is on. The dimming function (DIMMER) becomes disabled.
The dash kit is now available for purchase. Unfortunately, the dash kit is only available through one distributor for North America which makes the radio kit quite expensive. Basically, you lose several stock features. If you already have the single din Metra kit like I do. You lose some features that you would still have with the Metra radio dash kit. Some examples are custom naming, clock & temperature. The current prices listed can be found here:   See Prices

Note: Many other features are lost (common among dash kits) but these are the major differences found.
